Course on Documentary Film making

Media4Change, an initiative of Cinefusion and Centre for Youth Development and Activities (CYDA), in association with the National Film Archive of India (NFAI), is launching a unique short-term training program on documentary film making on the 24th of Sept 2005. The program, which will conclude on the 9th of Oct 2005, is of 15 days duration (full day) and will encompass in-depth analysis of documentary film making techniques.

The course' itinerary will incorporate interactive sessions on general information about the world of documentary cinema and practical training on the technical aspects of film production. As part of the training course, all the participants will be engaged in the making and actual production of documentary films.
The short-term course is aimed to cater to all those individual(s) who are inclined and curious towards knowing the various facets of filmmaking, whatever their professional background or age may be. People from diverse fields such as working professionals, students, educators, and media aspirants, NGOs etc, may benefit this unique opportunity, at an affordable cost.

The content of the course includes Understanding of documentaries, Scriptwriting, Producing, Aesthetics of documentaries and practical training on technical aspects like Camera, Editing, and Sound etc There will be screening of classical documentaries in National Film Archives of India, Pune.
